Outdoor Shower in My Garden

You are looking, but you do not see it. I wanted it to blend in so that it would be there without being obvious.

This is the inside of my garden gate. I like to hang things, especially items made of metal. What you are looking for is here blended into the gate and the hangings.

Now you can see it, but maybe you do not notice it yet. I will move closer to it.

Here it is! This is the head of my outdoor shower with water flowing from it.

I moved to Eureka in good part because of the weather. I wanted a shower in the garden so I can bathe and enjoy the outside. You had better believe that this cold water shower wakes me up with a galvanic jolt in the morning .

It took some planning and measuring to figure out how to run the PVC tubes so they would not show. I made two separate trips to Pierson Building Center for the right combination of pieces. Ruby went with me, but she wanted the biscuits they give her there, not the fittings.

Excuse me, but it is time for another shower, my third one of the day. I am so much cleaner and fresher now that I finally have the joys of a garden shower!

Looks great. Why not connect the hot water?

Thanks, Greg.

It's all about the chill. I want it straight from the faucet.

Good to see you back!

A cold shower makes you tougher.

Ha. You can have the chill. Brr.

......but I was told to go to Humboldt to chill.

Seriously, there is nothing like the feeling of calm right after drying off from a cold shower first thing in the morning. Sometimes I take a quick rinse right before getting into bed too. I sleep so well!

I am so happy you are back!! I was going to call you if you didn't come back online soon..

I imagine that shower is pretty bracing! I hate cold showers.. I am so grateful I have hot water here in the building.. The unit in the Hellman didn't get hotwater.. I really hated taking cold to luke warm showers. Cold showers are good for the pores though. ;P

Cold water also flattens the hair shaft, thus making your hair shiny....oh, wait....

You KNOW you're going to have a bunch of peepers trying to catch a glimpse of your 'shower', don't you?

Pamela, I'm back but I don't know how long. My computer has shut down six times in the last week!

Beachcomber, they're welcome to look! I have nothing to hide.

That is a beautiful shower! I'd rather avoid the cold water but the setting is pretty charming.
