Today Marks 23 Years Living With HIV

I tested postive for HIV 23 years ago. Today is my twenty-third anniversary.

It's been a long fight, one with many frustrations and obstacles. In the future I'll write about some of those adventures and struggles with HIV. I'll also explain why I'm alive and healthy today, a long term survivor.

Today is a time for personal and private reflection, however. The stories will come another time.

Right now, readers, you'll have to settle with the following list of medications I take daily except for those indicated. The first five listed are HIV medications. Most of the other medications are for side effects of those drugs.

Congradulations joe,

a true survivor. I have often wondered about the medications that those with HIV take. You educated me on some things today. Also, I saw the picture with you and the dogs. I passed you one day and did not know it. I recognize your tennis shoes in the picture. Next time, I will say hello. congradulations and take care.

Thanks, Walter. You're a survivor also so you know how good it feels to come through to the light.

Those are my current favorite sneakers. Not every 57-year-old guy can pull off my look. Give this old dog some credit.

For sure, stop me next time we pass. I know we have a lot in common and much to talk about.

Joe
